Thanks to its wide opening (up to 800 mm), its ±30° tilt angle and its front loader mounting, the clamp can be used on young or mature trees, with single or multiple trunks. The minimum recommended distances are 7 m between rows and 7 m along the row, to ensure efficient and safe manoeuvring.

Four levers allow you to control everything. The vibration frequency is reversible and continuously adjustable so that you can harvest all types of fruit, from the easiest to the most difficult to shake free.

The functions are controlled very gradually, for precise work. The FB80 is equipped with a rear 3-point hydraulic unit and a set of cushions and flaps.

Which crops can the FB80 be used on in fruit-growing?

The FB80 is suitable for cherry trees (fruit for industry), almond trees, walnut trees, pistachio trees, plum trees and other species harvested by vibration. Its 2-jaw clamp opens up to 800 mm and adapts to single-trunk or multi-trunk trees. With the right cushions and flaps, it can work on trunks up to approximately 650 mm in diameter, depending on the configuration of the orchard.

What tractor and mounting are required?

A standard 66 to 88 kW (≈90 to 120 hp) tractor is required. The FB80 can be mounted on a front loader or front 3-point hitch using an adapter plate, and its hydraulic unit is positioned on the rear 3-point hitch, which combines the functions and simplifies adjustments from the cab.

How can the bark and quality of the fruit be preserved during harvesting?

Adjust the frequency (0 to 31 Hz) and vibration direction according to the variety and ripeness. Use soft cushions for fragile trees and hard cushions for mature trunks. Select the flaps (6/10/15 mm rubber, caramel or felt) according to the age and diameter of the trunk. The telescopic arm (300 mm extension) helps to avoid rolling over fallen fruit.

What level of performance can be expected with the FB80 in fruit-growing?

Depending on the species, variety, ripeness and pruning method, up to 99% of the fruit can be harvested. Productivity depends on the organisation of the site (e.g. coordinated use with an automatic tarpaulin such as the EXPAND R5090), planting distances and accessibility. The front hitch speeds up cycles thanks to better visibility of the clamp.

What are the access and configuration requirements for the orchard?

To work efficiently and safely, allow at least 7 m between rows and 7 m on the line. Check the available working height according to your front loader and access around the plots. A site assessment by your PELLENC distributor is recommended to validate the configuration (slope, headlands, distances between trees).
