HISTORY

PELLENC designs, produces, and markets tools and machines that help you work better in harmony with your environment.

Pellenc, A vision to the future

In 1973, Roger Pellenc observed and imagined in the middle of the vines of Vaucluse. He already has the idea of innovating to make men's work more efficient and less arduous. Pruning is a major step in the vine cycle: he designs a trimmer to facilitate this task. The PELLENC company is born, the success is immediate.

Three years later, a new technological advance with the first hydraulic pruning shears, which reduces effort and increases productivity. PELLENC affirms what will remain its specificity over the years, innovation. Nothing can stop the fertile imagination of Roger Pellenc and his collaborators, the company thus receives numerous awards for its ability to create.

History is marked by research and inventiveness. There is a PELLENC solution for each problem, with a daring approach which often results in small revolutions and more than 1,300 patents!

The 1980s were marked by the first reflections on the mechanization of harvesting in fruit growing. At the end of the decade, PELLENC was a pioneer in on-board electronics, both on its machines for sale and on its secateurs.

It was in 1992 with the Buggy and later the vibrator comb that PELLENC succeeded in mechanizing the harvest of olives, one of the most difficult fruits to pick. More recently, he also designed the first machine adapted to plantations in fruit hedges with strong vegetation: the CV5045 olive towed.

In 1993, PELLENC launched into the mechanization of the harvest and optimized the profitability of its machines with the Multifunction, which allows them to be used throughout the year with different tools.

PELLENC created in 1995 the attaché for the vineyard, which offers increased productivity and ensures the remarkable management of the mechanized vineyard. A tool so well thought out that both its design and its success have remained the same for 20 years. In 2018, a new generation was born with the FIXION 2 whose battery and coil are on board.

PELLENC invested in the manufacture of its own batteries in the early 2000s, which enabled it to be one of the very first to offer portable power tools with long autonomy thanks to its mastery of lithium-ion technology and its electronic control.

Always paying particular attention to the quality of the harvest, in 2007 PELLENC developed the Selectiv’Process sorting and ginning system for its harvesting machines. Its efficiency makes it a new benchmark, the winegrowers are calling for its adaptation in the cellar!

While the list of innovations is long, PELLENC is just as dynamic from a commercial standpoint.

The 1990s marked the beginnings of international development. Subsidiaries in Spain and Australia are created. The United States, Italy and Slovakia come next. Opening of new offices, development of innovative solutions for each of the markets, the PELLENC group is deployed on five continents with South America, Morocco and China.

At the same time, PELLENC is strengthening its position in the tooling sector with the creation in 2008 of its Green & City Technology division. Combining respect for the environment, user comfort and safety, the division develops and markets "zero emission" products for the maintenance of green and public spaces.

In 2011, Roger Pellenc found with the Edify family fund, an industrial and financial partner who shared his values and his convictions. It allows him to perpetuate his business and ensure the pursuit of its development strategy.

In 2013, PELLENC bought the company PERA, a benchmark player in the cellar business. This acquisition allows for the vertical development of the group's activities from the vineyard to the cellar, with the objective of becoming the world leader in turnkey engineering solutions for the wine industry.

Heirs and actors of these successes, today we are all putting our energy, and our high standards, into continuing this tradition of excellence. Our goal has not changed: to imagine and produce innovative tools and machines which, every day, make your work easier and increase your performance.
